BioIn concept this journal has no specific agenda and will commence with generic ramblings about my world, as mundane or interesting as they may be perceived.
After some years of coast-hopping, east & west, I am now settled along the coast of southern Maine. When considering relocating from the LA area, it was suggested by my sister (who also lives in this area) that south coastal Main enjoys less snow in the winter and more moderate temperatures than many other areas of New England. During my first winter here the area experienced 100-inches of snow during the season and for the first time in my life I observed the ocean water frozen as the thermometer dipped well into the minus-zero range. I kid her about where her perspective must have been generated.
Well, that was 12 years ago and I'm still here. One captivating factor is the proximity to the Atlantic, as I much prefer the ocean to the mountains or back-country. I part-time at the front desk of an ocean-side motel, and I mean the waters of the Atlantic are less that 50-feet from my office window which is thankfully also several feet above the surface.
